Welcome to the start of your teacher training journey in Partnership with LJMU. We are delighted that you have chosen to begin your career as one of our students and look forward to supporting you once you start on your chosen programme. Our dedicated Partnership website www.itt-placement.com is open to all staff, students and schools in our Partnership. During the course of your training, you will become very familiar with it. We ask new students to focus on this Section (G) to begin to prepare for their course, but you may wish to explore further sections before starting your training, particularly Section D.

Next Steps

In order to enrol on your LJMU programme, you MUST meet all conditions. Your conditions are outlined on the DfE Apply application together with deadlines to meet these conditions by. Please also refer to the pre-course booklet for further details of meeting these conditions and evidencing them. If you have any queries about your conditions, please contact the LJMU Admissions Team by emailing applicantsupport@ljmu.ac.uk.

Once your offer becomes unconditional, enrolment information will be sent directly to you. It will be sent to the email address held for you by LJMU (found on your application). Enrolment information will be sent by the registry services team at LJMU, to unconditional applicants, from early August onwards, https://www.ljmu.ac.uk/academic-registry/student/registry-services. Any queries you can contact the Student Registration Team on 0151 231 3289 or by emailing studentregistration@ljmu.ac.uk.

You must complete all parts of the on-line enrolment as soon as you are contacted. Once you have enrolled, your LJMU ID card will be posted to the address on your student record. Enrolment is essential. It gives you access to all LJMU on-line learning resources, email etc. and officially registers you on your programme.

There is no need to attend campus in person to enrol.

However, all SCHOOL LED students must be fully enrolled with LJMU online by Friday 29th August 2025. If you are not enrolled, you cannot start in school.

All PGCE students must be fully enrolled online by Thursday 4th September 2025. If you are not enrolled, you cannot start the programme or be allocated a school placement.

The LJMU on campus timetable for ALL students will take place from Monday to Friday of the week beginning 8th September.

School Led students should contact their Lead Partners to confirm arrangements for the period from 1st – 5th September 2025.

Draft Calendars for each 2025-26 programme can be found below. These are to help new students to understand the shape of their programme. They identify key dates and when University and School-based placements are planned. They are draft only and may be subject to change. No arrangements for travel or holidays should be made on the basis of these Calendars. Individual school holidays vary and we advise students never to book travel until they can confirm the specific term dates for their placement schools.

School Led calendars normally only show the LJMU and placement elements. ADDITIONAL School Led training days will be added by your Lead School or Training consortium. Please contact them directly for further details.
